Jason Mraz Live in Manila at Big Dome on May 14 #PHconcerts

Press Release By Ovation Productions

Jason Mraz, whose vocal prowess and stylistic mastery have made such pop favorites as I’m Yours, The Remedy, Lucky, I Won’t Give Up, Make It Mine and Himself, is coming to Manila with his band to perform on May 14 at 8 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.

MMI and Ovation Productions are bringing back the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter to the concert scene more than one-and-a-half years after his smash debut concert on Oct. 30, 2011, also at the Big Dome, during which he wowed thousands of fans when he performed in an unforgettable acoustic evening with percussionist Toca Rivera.

Billed as Jason Mraz & His Band Live In Manila!, the  one-night musical event will also feature YouTube sensation Zendee Rose Tenerefe as special guest.

The show will mark the 35-year-old pop singer’s third appearance here since his first visit in 2006 during a two-day promo tour for his first two albums, Waiting For My Rocket To Come and Mr. A-Z, at the Rockwell Tent and NBC Tent in Makati City.

Acclaimed as one of the modern era’s most gifted pop artists, Mraz has taken an astounding musical journey, from coffee houses to concert stadiums around the globe, packed with record crowds lured by his string of hits that feature influences of reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz and hip-hop.

He first gained public attention when he moved West and settled in San Diego, California in 1999, where he played the coffee-house circuit.

The next two years saw his following grow outside of San Diego to Los Angeles, attracting the attention of record labels that eventually led to his being signed to a contract with Elektra Records in 2002. The rest is pop music history.

(Jason Mraz and His Band Live In Manila! is produced by Ovation Productions and brought to you by ETC, MMI, 2nd Avenue, Diva Universal, Jack TV RJ 100.3 FM, History Channel.
