Lucky postpaid subscribers of mobile leader Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart) reap the rewards of paying their monthly bills diligently and on time as the telco announces the winners for the 2nd Draw of its “Pay Early, Get Lucky” promo.
“She couldn’t believe it at first, she thought someone was pulling her leg,” shared Felipe Sanico, fiancé of Smart subscriber of Maricar Castillo, who won a Sony Xperia L smartphone during the 2nd draw of the promo. “She had always been diligent with paying her bills, even if she has a flight somewhere.”
A flight attendant by profession, Castillo is often out on assignment to domestic and foreign destinations. “Even then, she makes sure she pays her Smart iPhone bill on time by paying online, or asks me to pay for it when she’s not around,” Sanico said.
Castillo is just one of the lucky winners of Smart Postpaid’s “Pay Early, Get Lucky” promo, a raffle draw encouraging subscribers to pay their bills early on or time for a chance to win the latest mobile devices today.
“As they say, the early bird gets the worm. So we’d like to congratulate all our postpaid subscribers who diligently paid their bills on time and discovered that being an early bird can get very rewarding if you’re with Smart,” said Kathryn Carag, Postpaid Marketing Head at Smart.
It’s only been 9 months since Kristelle Gumop-as of Taytay, Rizal got her Smart Freedom postpaid plan, which is why she didn’t expect it when Smart called her to say that she won the LG Nexus 5 smartphone from the Pay Early, Get Lucky promo.
“My husband had his Smart postpaid plan for two year
s already, but it was me who won the prize so we were really happy,” Gumop-as said. “I’d be happy to use this new phone from now on.”
With her Smart Freedom plan, Gumop-as said she can conveniently manage her monthly consumption because she only pays for the calls or texts that she makes. To extend her usage further, she subscribes to various call-and-text combo offers, which is helpful for their family’s construction business.
Other Smart Postpaid subscribers have also received the perks of being a diligent postpaid subscriber by paying their bills on time. This includes Marilyn Cordon of Tuguegarao, Argie Arcilla of Pasay City, and Joel Camacho of Pasig City, who each won the Sony Xperia L, LG Nexus 5, and iPhone 5s during the first monthly draw of the promo. For the 2nd monthly draw, Jennelyn Banog of Palawan bagged the brand-new 16GB iPhone 5s as the first prize.
Subscribers still have a chance to win these sought-after phones by making sure that they pay their bills on time through Smart’s various payment channels, which include Smart Money, the my.Smart portal, Smart Stores, ATMs, over-the-counter (Asia United Bank, Banco de Oro, Bank of Commerce, Bank of Philippine Islands, Development Bank of the Philippines, East West Bank, among others) credit card (check out my.Smart or PLDT Online for details), online banking, and mobile banking services (call 888-1-888 for customer service).
Up for grabs for the next raffle draw in September are high-end smartphones such as the Sony Xperia M2 (3rd prize), the Samsung Galaxy S5 (2nd prize), and the 32GB edition of the Apple iPhone 5c (1st prize). Subscribers can still have a chance to win until September 30.
